My Travel Story
My passion is TRAVEL!
I graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a degree in Political Science in 1987. I wasn't sure WHAT to do after that, so I decided to become a travel agent and work and travel for a year before going on to Law School..well its now almost 30 years later and i am STILL TRAVELLING! I love it... from Picadilly Circus in London to the donkey ride in Santorini, the desert of Palm Springs, the temples of Thailand, and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, I have done it all. When someone asks me what my favorite place was, my answer is always "all of them".
I have owned and operated D&D Travel Ltd since April of 2002 (just recently rebranded as Marlin Travel). Opening my own Agency was one of the best things i have ever done! I love my job every day! I look forward to coming to work to see where people want to travel to next!! I am also very involved in my community. I was on the Saskatoon City Hospital Foundation Board for over 7 years, almost 10 years on the Black Tie Bingo Committee as well as the Annual City Hospital Foundation "Golfun" Tournament, raising money for MS research! I am nothing if not passionate about everything that I do.
As I mentioned, i have traveled extensively around the world, specializing mainly in hot spots and beach vacations! I recently have become enthralled with adventure travel! Hiking the Lares Trek to Machu Picchu in Peru has so far, been the highlight of my life! I graduated in 2013 from the Transat Groups Academy! I am now the EXPERT in Group Travel, namely destination wedding groups, family reunion groups, business incentive groups, as well as adventure travel groups! Most recently I graduated from the Transat Cruise Academy, and am now also the EXPERT on Cruises, from Ocean cruises to River Cruises to Sailing vessels!! I would love to share my knowledge and expertise with my clients and help them to plan the BEST VACATION EVER!!
My knowledge of Riverboat cruising is extensive! I have cruised down the Danube River in Europe as well as the Mekong River from Cambodia to Vietnam. If you are interested in River Cruising, I am your Travel Agent!!
I attended the Disney Training Academy in Orlando in June of 2015 and am now completely knowledgeable about anything "Disney". I can tell you the best resort, the best rides, the best restaurants, all about the "Disney Magic Band", you name it!! Anything Disney.. give me a call!!
